I'm sure you had fun dealing with all those colors and getting the paint smooth. I recently completed a Blue Angel Hornet and it needed tons of polishing to smooth out the paint.

Fine looking model with a very colorful scheme. Beer

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

Back in '76, I was flying along in my Ercoupe north of St. Louis.  I looked out and saw MAC's own bicentennial F-4 flying alongside, gear and flaps down.  I am sure it was a challenge flying that Phantom as slow as my Ercoupe.  Fortunately, I happened to have my camera along, and grabbed a shot of that!  MAC's own bird was a much simpler paint scheme, white with a band of blue, and some stars.  I had that photo for many years, but was looking for it last year, and it was gone, just a memory now.

I guess that pilot liked antique aircraft, and just wanted to have a good look :-)

That is an absolutely beautiful color scheme.  I love it.  I look forward to the FSM issue starring your Phantom.

This will be featured in the July FSM. I made all the necessary changes to the airframe. Some people erroneously think it's an F-4B. It's actually an F-4J with a B nose and test leading edge slats that would later be put on the S. It's quite an interesting airframe. The decals were from CAM and were horrible. They were brittle and broke up and flaked off when I tried to get them to go over compound curves. I painted the red and white stripes and should have painted the blue instead of using the decals. I can't go into detail about all the mods, because Finescale wouldn't be too happy with me. :-)
