Scratch it using similar sized wire. Then paint the clear portion silver

Thanks for the quick responses. I think I'll try some .032 wire; as I already tried heating clear and normal spruce with mixed results.  Also the compound curve required to make it fit was bit too challenging with the plastic. I only wish Eduard had more than one in the box as they're super fragile

...or...if you really want the clear portion to be clear...heat and stretch a piece of clear sprue, for that section, and use pieces of wire for the rest.

   I'm building The Eduard Bf 109 late Gustav.  Kit Nr 82111  anyhow the tube busted and looking for ways to fix it. Thanks!
