I have a production test shot kit kindly sent by HK for contributing technical information for this offering.

Who would like to see what's in the box?

OHHHHhhhhhh I caved in and have just ordered one from Sprue Brothers Big Smile. I knew if I didn't purchase one now that they will eventually be discontinued and I would later kick myself for not getting one and I've been there and done that before.

I figured that besides a third Trumpeter A-6A that I got on backorder w/ a Feb ship date, this would be the only kit I would be looking at buying for all of 2017. Unless someone comes out with a 1/24th F-4 Phantom II.  Wonder how the wife would like having the B-17 hanging over the headboard of our bed?  Hmm

All my aircraft due to the lack of space are on my wall of fame (Models) including a B-17G visible, B-24, and a Landcaster amoung many other aircraft.

I use plastic coated steel cable the type they use for costume jewelry.  Works great and saves a lot of space.

I was going to buy the HK B-17F, I was ready to buy it, I even put one in the on-line cart but then I took out a tape measurer and after going room to room in the house I sadly concluded that I had no place whatsoever to display her Bang Head.

How 'bout as a wall hanger? (hang it by the tail)

The HK B-17's come with a wall hanging fixture that you can hang it by the bomb bay area with the nose facing upwards if I remember correctly. I got a chance to get an in person "in box" review by the guys from Kings Hobby in Austin at the last show I attended up there.

Hello!

Many years ago I have built a B-17G in 1/33 as a paper model. This sure is a big one! The same company, called GPMhad a fad then for building big aircraft, so together with the B-17G they also had a B-24J, a B-29, a Privateer, a Catalina and more modern machines: a H-53 Jolly Green and a C-130. They topped it all by a B-52 - this thing had a wingspan of 1,70m (67'') in 1/33 scale!

Check out Reaper420's thread on the Revell B-17G.  He just bought two HK 1/32 F and G series kits.

One of the guys at our model club brought in the G earlier this year and i think he is planning on this one as well. They are damn big kits and very impressive.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Just saw the video on the new product rundown on this one.  Looks like a dandy and ripe for massive detailing.  Little on the spendy side, and HUGE, with a 39 inch wingspan.  Even has decals for the Belle.  Got to start tossing aside some $ for it.
