You're right there: sirens weren't used after 1940.

 

The sirens mounts were fitted after 1940 and continued to be until the introduction of the D-3. But many crews didn't add the siren to the mount and a lot of R's don't seem to have had the mount fitted at all. Its possably they were using older undercarrage spats that had been made before the sirens were brought into use, just before the invasion of France.

The Dutch Fokker G-1 Reaper, heavy fighter. If we only would have had more of them back in May 1940....

That is some great work. Build and paint .

I know some people complain that this kit doesn't have their famous stuka siren but looking at dated photos not all stukas had them.
