Those little circles in the port side rear glass are open ports to access the fuel and glycol filler caps. Those are not lights lol. The front one should be black and the rear one should be aluminum.
The little circles in the fuselage in front of the "155" are formation lights and those should be blue.
Otherwise this build is looking great and I'm a little excited to see it completed. :)

Generally, I personally don't worry about it, but its a great way to show a lot of weight on the aircraft should you choose to modify the kit parts. For most static displays the kit height is usually acceptable. :)
Pat, strut compression is already shown on kit gear. I have to add some strut to show an uncompressed olio if I'm showing a take off or landing.

That looks phenominal. It's hard to believe it's 1/72nd scale. I see that he has flattened the lower edge of the tire a little to reflect the effects of the weight of the plane, when sitting on the ground.
Out of curiousity, as a general question to the plane model builders here, I was wondering if when building any plane, would strut compression be noticeable as well for a plane on the ground, or is it not enough to be noticeable?
I can hardly wait for a final reveal. That PE really adds a lot to make it look larger than it is. :)

If Kyle hasn't found a way to fix that silvering of the decals yet, let him know that a little watered down Vallejo clear gloss around the edges may eliminates the silvering.
Either that, or the extreme answer is a very restrained usage of liquid cement. It will work very well, but it can smear the decal pigments and cause some touch-ups to have to be made.
Ive used both methods effectively.
