Been a while
Posted by keavdog on Thursday, February 16, 2017 11:44 PM

It's been a few years since I have built anything but I've been on a roll.  I'm not building for contests anymore so I'm letting a lot of stuff go ;) - devolving from advanced modeler syndrome :)... and its been fun finishing models.

Here's a few I finished

1/48 Hasegawa F-15C

1/200 Hasegawa 737-200

Old Monogram 1/48 F-5 in Naval Agressor markings

Monogram/Pro-Modeler 1/48 SB2C-4 Helldiver

1/35 Trumpeter SA-2

Thanks,

John

love the f-15  and the 737.   I built the SA-2 kit in desert colors,  it was a fun build,  got a gold for it a last years Nordiccon event.

Yeah, that's some sharp work! I think I love the Helldiver best too.

If that's devolving . . . .

I'm a knuckle draggin' neanderthal !

That's one of the nicest 737's I've seen - very sharp !

Having a lot of fun. I have found building outside of your norm is very liberating because you don't know all the nuances of particular subjects and you just focus on fit and finish. Thanks for all the kind words. It's a great hobby.

Thanks,

John

Nice collection you've got there. I've got the Pro modeler Helldiver kit in my stash as well. How was the fit and the build? Any issues I should be aware of? Welcome back!

It's a really nice kit with some nice PE details. If anything, I had issues with the gunners station. The instructions were a little obscure.

Thanks,

John
