I've gone from avoiding Airfix as if it was carry the plauge to actually looking forward to their releases. Good to see they have moved with the times.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

If it's anything like the 72nd scale one it will be a winner. I do hope there is an option for the filletless early tail.

If this kit gets released with the "Detroit Miss" markings I will certainly be building this one!!

I miss those markings since Revell re-released the Monogram P-51D without them.

I haven't bought a 48th kit in a long time...I probably would, with those markings.

I really wish they'd pop out more marking options for their 72nd P-51's.

It's marginally possible I have the Detroit Miss markings from that kit in my decal stash.

PM me if you wantme to look for them, and I'll see if I have them. I know I had two of those kits as a kid and never got to the decal stage, so theoretically I still have them.

As for the filletless tail, the sprue shot Airfix shared appears to have both options molded as inserts.
