Great job! As long as we're talking 1/48 scale Airfix, I have a question for you all. Have any of you ever noticed Airfix's figures being WAY out of scale? I'm building a 1/48 scale aircraft diorama right now; Monogram P-40 Warhawk in RAF markings, and the Tamiya 10hp "Tilly" truck, and I wanted to add some maintneance workers. The truck driver from the Tilly and the pilot from the Warhawk are both close enough in scale to look okay, but I ordered the Airfix kit of 1/48 ground crew personnel (this is my first Airfix kit purchase) and they are so huge as to be unusable in the diorama! The Tamiya truck driver looks like a small child in comparison. I'm actually working on a 1/35 kit at the same time, and at first I thought maybe Airfix mistakenly included 1/35 figures instead. But upon comparison between the Airfix figures, the 1/48 figures from the Monogram Warhawk and the Tamiya Tilly, and the 1/35 Tamiya figures, the Airfix figures look to be about midway between the other scales. If I had to guess, I'd say about 1/40 to 1/42. A shame, too, because they're very nicely molded, lots of detail and good action poses, but I don't know of anything else that comes scaled like this...

The Seafire is my favorite Spit. As a kid,I had one in 1/32 partially built until I went to college and my Mother threw it away. To bad it's discontinued as I would like to finish it lol.

No. 1832 Naval Air Squadron, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, Southern Air Division, Royal Naval Air Station Culham, Oxfordshire, England, 1950..........It took longer to type the aircraft unit than build it! Man, that is the longest title for a unit ever I think.3 schemes to choose OOB with this one, but Dark Sea Grey over Sky wins me every time, I love this Naval paint scheme on any aircraft.Tamiya, Gunze and Vallejo acrylics and Gunze enamel/lacquer to paint this one. A bit of AK enamel wash, Flory Dark Dirt wash and AK Satin varnish. I have been burnt a couple of times by Airfix kits, (missing parts, short shot/mis-molds), but I must say this is a good one, but I am not sure if they make it any more? The Online Hobby store I use says this one is discontinued
