It's actually a really nice kit. There are a couple of areas to keep an eye on, when you mate the nose section to the fuselage, make sure you double check the fit. I recently built two of these at the same time. One kit, they mated perfectly, the other had a gap and a step that had to be filled and sanded. Not a major problem, but one to keep an eye out for.

This is looking great so far, nice work on the office!!

On the Bench:  Lots of unfinished projects!  Smile

Not a whole ton of progress to report.  I painted some parts white, and got the nose together.  Daily life kept me from the bench most of the day.Wink

There's 2 options in the kit, going with option 1 335th TFS, 4th Fighter wing.

Wow Keyda, you're knocking them out left and right! I wish I had your enthusiasm. One,  maybe two a year is good for me. I think I have too many hobbies!

Keep up the good work,

Max

I'll sit up at the bench for hours if I can, lol.  It's been raining cats and dogs the past few days, and it's not quite warm enough to do anything outside, so what better way to spend my time!  I've been trying to sneak away and work on this one as much as possible.  Kiddo goes on Spring Break for 2 weeks, and I plan on starting Spring cleaning.  I won't be getting in a whole lot of bench time in.

This plane is going together so quickly, and easily.  I haven't had any fit issues what so ever.  I'm loving how nicely it's going together.

Intakes in.

Halves together.

I made a mess with the white paint.Embarrassed

Nose section on

I must of forgotten to take pics with the wings on, I'll do that after dinner.

Thanks!  It is a rather fun kit to build.  I have a few small spots that may need some attention, but nothing at all major.

Since this is what it looks like out my kitchen window.......

Yep that's snow, a bunch of it coating my little old Cavalier!

I was able to get some more stuff done this morning/afternoon.  I just need to inspect everything, and go over it with some tack cloth and I'll be ready for paint.

Vertical stabilizers on.

Underside fiddly bits, and pylons.

Everything just about ready for paint.

After picking up the kiddo from school I went back to the bench for a few more hours before having to start making dinner.

Got her all painted.

I've spent most of the day working on this most of the day, lol.  My back certainly feels it.  I finally called it a day at 10:30pm.

Landing gear on.

Here's where I left off for today.

Might be able to finish her tomorrow.  Kiddo is off to Nanni's for the day.Big Smile

This morning's progress.

I lost one of the smaller pito tubes, and was pleasantly surprised I actually found it after looking for only a few minutes.  I hate when I lose those things, it drives me mad, lol.

Dang. That a big model!

Looks really good so far. Does the kit provide this intake covers?

Yes it does, a bit of bugger to get fit in there.  I had to touch up some paint afterwards, but no big deal.

Excellent progress. I built the same kit last year. It's an excellent kit of the F15E. The only cons is it does not come with any air to ground weapon.

I noticed that!  That is a draw back for sure, but yes the only one.

I've spent almost the entire day doing decals!  They should of just painted a big "NO STEP" sign on the back of the entire plane!  Lol.  There was so many I lost count of them all.

All decals are on.  Just waiting for the glue to dry between the canopy and frame, then I can glue that in place.

Probably won't get her hung up on the wall until tomorrow.  I'll let everything sit overnight to dry.

Ok, so I lied, I got her all finished and hung up on the wall, lol.  It's not perfect, but I'm rather pleased with how it came out.

Up on the wall

Sharing the wall with just a few others, lol.

Thank you!  I know, I realized how quick I got through it, and here I thought I took my time.  I spent quite a few hours at the bench everyday, yesterday and today were pretty much the entire day, lol.

C-130's are my favorite.  They've been flying overhead here for over 40 years.  That ends this summer as our air base converts to KC-135's.  I'm going to miss the Herc's!

Very nice!  I'm just one of those people that when I start something I have to finish it, and I just keep at it as long as I have time.
