Toshi

Awesome job!  I showed Mrs. Toshi your build and she was very impressed by your work.  What's next?

Toshi

Thanks!  Actually I finally pulled out the C-54.  It will probably take me a while, as it's starting to get nice out, and there is a lot of things to do outside, lol.  So I'll work on it on not so nice, rainy days.  I tend to go a bit nuts once warmer weather hits, and I have to take care of all the flower beds, clean up the yard, clean the garage, get the motorcycle out of hibernation, spring clean the house, lol.

Nice work.  Kit decals worked well.  I liked adding the red FOD covers to mine too.  Breaks up the monochromatic grey finish.  Good job.

XF-15DCC

The intake covers come with the kit? They make great sleds in the snow. Used them in Bitburg in the 525 on a few hills when we had enough snow to "work in".

Kevin

Yep, they came with the kit.  Only came with a few sidewinders, and nothing else.  But I suppose if that was a concern something could be purchase to arm the underside.  I don't really mind.

Thanks everyone!  I won't get through the next build so fast though I'm sure.  Nicer weather has finally started to make an appearance, and spring cleaning the house is on my to do list too.  Chores before fun, lol.

The best jet in the USAF!  Yes, I'm partial....21 years working on them will do it to you.  SJ was my first assignment!  Went to Desert Storm with the E's.

Great build!  Nicely done!  And displayed well too!

Great build log.  I am a fan of the Revell/Monogram 1/48 series kits and love to see these builds.  Your build really came out nice and  in such a short time.   Keep up the good work and keep posting.

You did excellent job on it in very short time.

Here is mine that took me about 3 weeks to complete.

Very nice!  I'm just one of those people that when I start something I have to finish it, and I just keep at it as long as I have time.

That looks great!  And in only 5 days...remarkable!

Love the C 130s...They fly over my house everyday.

Thank you!  I know, I realized how quick I got through it, and here I thought I took my time.  I spent quite a few hours at the bench everyday, yesterday and today were pretty much the entire day, lol.

C-130's are my favorite.  They've been flying overhead here for over 40 years.  That ends this summer as our air base converts to KC-135's.  I'm going to miss the Herc's!

Ok, so I lied, I got her all finished and hung up on the wall, lol.  It's not perfect, but I'm rather pleased with how it came out.

Up on the wall

Sharing the wall with just a few others, lol.

Excellent progress. I built the same kit last year. It's an excellent kit of the F15E. The only cons is it does not come with any air to ground weapon.

I noticed that!  That is a draw back for sure, but yes the only one.

I've spent almost the entire day doing decals!  They should of just painted a big "NO STEP" sign on the back of the entire plane!  Lol.  There was so many I lost count of them all.

All decals are on.  Just waiting for the glue to dry between the canopy and frame, then I can glue that in place.

Probably won't get her hung up on the wall until tomorrow.  I'll let everything sit overnight to dry.

Dang. That a big model!

Looks really good so far. Does the kit provide this intake covers?

Yes it does, a bit of bugger to get fit in there.  I had to touch up some paint afterwards, but no big deal.

This morning's progress.

I lost one of the smaller pito tubes, and was pleasantly surprised I actually found it after looking for only a few minutes.  I hate when I lose those things, it drives me mad, lol.

I've spent most of the day working on this most of the day, lol.  My back certainly feels it.  I finally called it a day at 10:30pm.

Landing gear on.

Here's where I left off for today.

Might be able to finish her tomorrow.  Kiddo is off to Nanni's for the day.Big Smile

After picking up the kiddo from school I went back to the bench for a few more hours before having to start making dinner.

Got her all painted.

Since this is what it looks like out my kitchen window.......

Yep that's snow, a bunch of it coating my little old Cavalier!

I was able to get some more stuff done this morning/afternoon.  I just need to inspect everything, and go over it with some tack cloth and I'll be ready for paint.

Vertical stabilizers on.

Underside fiddly bits, and pylons.

Everything just about ready for paint.

Wow, that was fast. I am thinking I may have to find this kit. It's starting to look like fun.  :)

nice job, Keyda!

Thanks!  It is a rather fun kit to build.  I have a few small spots that may need some attention, but nothing at all major.
