Thanks Crown. At first I thought is wasn't coming out like I wanted, but when I stepped back I liked it.

Tigerman, since I used a chipping fluid over the silver, I used Silly Putty because tape would have removed more paint than I wanted

I like the way the Green motling changes the gray looks cool and in that scale !

Your Kate is looking awesome Steve. Did you make a mask for spraying the black?

Now it's time for a wash then a dull coat. The open canopy is molded together so is somewhat interesting to paint. I'll install the wings after the canopy is attached.

You are doing a wonderful job of convincing me I need this kit in my collection lol.

It looks amazing, and I've built the Hasegawa kit before. :D

That matches with my recollection as well regarding the Soryu Kate sinking the Arizona ... but then again I'm less than a month out from 5-0 and my memory sometimes is not what it used to be.

I had read that it was a Soryu aircraft that dropped the bomb on Arizona that sank her. IIRC from one of my Pearl Harbor books, possibly "At Dawn We Slept"....

The P-40B comes with the camera gear, but also has no instructions. I still think its awesome that they included it. With basic troubleshooting skills, one could figure out how it goes together.

What other P-40B kit comes with the photo recon gear??

Yes but no installation instructions I can find LOL. Although I have to admit I typically scan instruction sheet and don't really read them. Its a process carried over from my childhood when I built kits before I could read. Just looked at the pictures and matched the shapes. I get a shot of the fins tonight.
