Aside from a boat load of scratch building, you're not going to have too much luck with that particular kit. I have it in my stash and even I dont think I'm going to do much more than build it and find some AM decals for a better scheme.

You would spend so much on upgrades there wouldn't be much of the kit left anyways. That's a big investment when better, more detailed kits are available for far less of an investment.

Just my opinion, but just build it for fun. Have fun painting it as best you can and enjoy the process for the sake of it. That's my plan for that kit, same as the old F4U-4 corsair. Just enjoy it and procure a better kit.

Sorry, that probably isn't the answer you want.

It depends on the particular subject of course, but aftermarket stuff for some of those old Revell kits is few and far between. Most of the A-market manufacturers concentrate on the newer kits which people are more inclined to build more often. Accurate Miniatures (now molded by Academy) and Hasegawa both have outstanding Dauntless kits. I guarantee there are lots available for those. Perhaps some of these will fit your Revell kit. Good Luck
