So after 12 years I finally found the time to finish a model (almost). I know I posted two other times that I was starting again, but those always fell through due to the kids breaking them accidentally, work hours, and not having time to finish etc. But, I was finally able to get one done!
I built the academy Corsair 1:72 out of the box. It was also brush painted with acrylics and glossed with model master clear gloss. I have to now get the landing gear and cockpit on and it's all done!
can you please let me know what you think? What can I fix / do better?
Thankyou!

Looks prety good from here, nice and glossy. To get the picture to show, click on the "insert" and them "image", or the little window with the mountain peaks in it, and then insert your link.

I think it looks great, I tend to do mostly brush painting too
Very nice build. I'm looking forward to the finish!

The build is finished! Feels good to finally get one done after many years. Please let me know what you think. (I might apply a wash to the panel lines).
For a 1:72 scale 10 dollar kit (plus the 40% off hobby lobby coupon lol) it went together very nicely with minimal filler needed and no seams visible. I'd say it has more detail than most other cheap 1:72 scale kits.
Well done, very noce.
Excellent! Another Corsair! That makes life good.
Your Corsair is very nicely done. You do really nice work with a brush. You're right about the academy kit. It is not bad little kit. Although it may have some accuracy and detail issues, it can build up into a very sharp model as you have demonstrated.
Thank you for sharing and I certainly look forward to your next effort.

i tried taking a photo of it on my deck using the portrait mode on the iPhone... I think it looks pretty cool (almost as if the propeller is spinning due to the focus)
That is a very nice F4U Corsair.
