Very, very, nice job on the Navy A-1. The A-1 carried a bomb load comparable to the 4 engined B-17. While in SEA there were two aircraft I liked seeing overhead, the C-47 gunship, and the A-1s. The jets swooped in and dropped their ordanance and zipped away. The two prop jobs hung arround and provided cover and comfort. We usually saw Navy/Marine A-1s like the one you modeled (gull gray and white), but occassionally we saw A-1s in SEA camo with the USAF or ARVN. Once when the fire base was under fire the A-1s came to help us and as they made passes with their 20MM cannons the ejected shells rained down on us. One of the guys had a shell bounce off of his steel pot (helmet) and put a dent in it. Stuff happens. That particular A-1 is famous for shooting down a Mig. Interestingly enough one of the first Migs shot down in Korea was also shot down by an A-1.
Again, that is a super job on the A-1.
