Airfix 1/72 P51-D Mustang FINISHED
Posted by Builder on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 8:59 PM

Hi All,

This is my reveal for the Airfix 1/72 P51 D mustang which I built last year.

Build Summary

The Airfix 1/72 Mustang. A gem of a kit. Went together really well. I painted it using Tamiya Enamels and Humbrol Enamels. I did not give it a wash since the panel lines just highlighted very well after I applied the paint so I left them as is. The decals went on phenomenally well too.

Looks great!  Thanks for posting.

I have that kit in my stash and can't wait to get it on my bench.

A right gorgeous looking Mustang you have turned out. Really well done indeed.

Nice job on this Tuskeegee Airman version . This is the one I want to build as well , and I hope mine comes out near as good .

Those guys sure went through a lot to finally be able to serve their country fighting the Army Air Force as well as the Germans.

Builder,

Nice Mustang! Haven't built one in the Tuskeegee colors yet. However, I need another Mustang like I need another hole in my head.

R.I.K.,

Unless you already have it, spend the nine bucks and get the new tool.  Almost as good as the Tamiya kit at half the price.
