So I purchased and built this kit:

And I noticed it was considerably bigger than my other 1/48 kits from Tamiya and other manufacturers. In fact I had to go back to the box several times after finishing the build to make sure it wasn't a 1/32 scale. It's a great kit and fantastically detailed. One of the best kits I've built to date, but the size is throwing me off. I want to have a Corsair in my collection but it just doesn't look right next to my other 1/48 scale aircraft.
So, do the other Tamiya Corsair versions use the same mold? And is the actual Corsair really that much bigger than other planes of that era? I don't have pictures at the moment but I can post them up to show the size difference when I get the chance. I would really like a Corsair that looks up to scale with the rest of my models.
