They’ve already done the F-15’s, both C and E.
Personally I’d like see them do a new updated F-14 as nice as their 1/48 version.
jeffpez It would be huge but I'd love a new well engineered P-38.

I'd settle for one in 1/48

I'd be all over this....
And I too would be all over this, but I would do it slowly. So very, very slowly...
"Can you fly this plane and land it?...Surely you can't be serious....I am serious, and don't call me Shirley"
And a Bf-109G6. Not my wish list, but likely since they just did one in 1/48.
“Ya ya ya, unicorn papoi!”
I'd like to see a P-47 or a new entry in their Mosquito series, the glass-nosed Mk IV. I also agree the Ki-61 is likely to appear at some point.
Thanks to all. I'll admit the Ki-61 is a very likely candidate, but I'd sure like to see a P-47 Razorback or an accurate P-51B. We'll see what happens. I'm sure it won't be inexpensive, but I'm also sure it will be beautiful.

Brewster Buffalo, Seversky P-35, Boeing P-26.
All served in one way or the other early in the Pacific war.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
I really hope they will do an early F-86.

Tamiya's 1/32 track record points to well known aircraft that have guaranteed sales success, so my guess is a Ki-61 Hien. I think they were involved in the restoration of the 1:1 example in Japan, thus leading to their new 1/48 kit. The Hasegawa 1/32 kit is gorgeous, but it is without bells and whistles. I think the Ha-140 engine was based on the DB-601, so maybe a Bf-109 series will follow. If there are no new Bf-109E kits, then that would be the likely mark. Just my ¥100 guess.
They could also do something like a Kate torpedo bomber, JASDF F-86 or "Maru-Yon" (F-104J), but I think the Ki-61 a likely candidate.
When should Tamiya announce their next 1/32 aircraft model? What would you like to see them do, and what do you think it will be? I've just started their P-51D, my first 1/32 aircraft in over 30 years, and it's amazing.
