I've seen those before. Nothing new but I used to see them a lot back in the 70s and 80s.

Even used to see 'enlarged' versions as those decorative garden whirly-thingies. They were common enough that I assumed someone was making them commercially---though whether properly licensed from the beer labels involved, I was never sure.

I got one as a gift a few years ago, made from Coke cans by some guy in the Dallas area.  It sits above my computer in my office.

There use to be a company that sold plans to build these. I had one of their drawing packages. Cans and the Legg's pantyhose plastic eggs were the main pieces. The drawing package covered about 20 aircraft from WWI thru modern day jets.

When creativity, craftmanship, time and perhaps boredom combine.

That's amazing.  It the spinner must be perfectly formed to spin on the lip.

There's a shaft for the prop running the length of the can. Clever.

Okay, I've got to ask.  Where does the pilot sit?  Or is this a new "Beverage Delivery Drone" for the front lines?  Our troops will never want for beer again!

Well, it is a modeling site. This might qualify. Nope, I didn't do it. A gift for my wife from a friend in the industry, The can is 1/1 for scale. Hey! The prop turns in the wind. Large fuel tank. Geeked
