I just followed your adventures with this kit and must add my congratulations on a job well done.  She looks great, and I hope the  ceiling attachment does not fail, since its a beauty.

Wow, just wow!! This is a work of art for sure. The effort really paid off and that winter camo scheme is just unbelieveable. Very nice job!

Thanks Jack for your kind words.

Mopar Madness

Time well spent!  The whitewash camo looks fantastic!

Thanks again, Chad.  I agree, it was time well spent (actually, just about every moment spent at the work bench is time well spent, right?)

Aggieman,

Here are two links for you:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consolidated_PBY_Catalina

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinkel_He_115

                                Wingspan                             Length

PBY:                           104'                                    63', 10 7/16"

He 115:                      73', 1"                                56', 9"

Thank you for those links, Mike.  The models seemed almost to be of different scales when I held the 115 up beneath the Catalina, but by those numbers, it's really just the wings that account for the difference.

Stunning. Give yourself a pat on the back. When a kit fights you like this and turns out the way it did. You did good

Thanks Johnny, for your kind words!

Despite your issues, that turned out great. That’s not when you see too often. Thanks for taking us along.
