Thanks again.

I prefer to leave the painting to last. If I were to build another one I would still do the same,  build first then paint after Wink

Thanks guys.

BlackSheep,

I got it from amazon.com for $45 with free shipping. I think it's fairly priced

Love the aircraft but the kit is too damn expensive. Someday I’m gonna splurge on one, including the floatplane version. LOL!

Gotta say that’s pretty impressive to build the entire plane then paint it as good as you did. I would drive myself crazy masking off in between the wires and struts. Great looking build sir!

You did a fantastic job on your first bi-plane.  The wires really makes the plane.

Looks great!  I love bipes.  One of these days I'll have to get around to picking up that kit. It is an old one but just never got around to it.

sorry to hear about that. Yes the wings are hard to attach properly to the fuselage and I really have to force them in. This build is one of the hard ones that I've worked on. I did not use Tamiya photo etch wires and just made my own wires. All the rigging was done after I attached the wings to fuselage; And I did the exterior painting after the built.

I'm looking forward to see your build of this plane again. I'm sure it will be awesome when completed.

Fine job.

I don't know how you kept the wires from buckling. I tried my best but couldn't finish it. I ended up trashing the model. I couldn't get the wings to attach properly to the fuselage. Don't ask me how I screwed it up .. I still don't know. I do have another of the same kit (Tamiya 1/48 Fairey Swordfish MkII) and will probably give it a try again some day.

Thanks.

I have corrected the name to Fairey

Yes I built it first then painted it after.

That is nice. Did you build the whole thing and then paint it?

BTW the aircraft company is named "Fairey".

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
