There is a superglue that is supposed to be able to attach clear parts and not fog them.  I picked up a bottle but have not used it yet.

Be careful using epoxy to attach clear parts. It can generate heat and fumes while curing, which Might fog the clear parts.

Not true in the volumes used for attaching canopies. Cool

Second the motion of using white glue. Testor's also makes a clear parts cement that is awesome (and can also be used to make small clear windows with excellent results).

Be careful using epoxy to attach clear parts. It can generate heat and fumes while curing, which Might fog the clear parts. Same reason you NEVER use super glue to attach clear parts.

You can also use clear epoxy to attach clear parts.

I used thin styrene strip and made a lip around the fuselage nose for the vaccuform nose piece to sit on. It worked very well. Use white glue to attach it.

Attaching vac-u-form nose canopy to a B-17

I have some 1/48 vac-u-form canopies one of which is for a B-17F.  I am going to use this on the Revell kit but have never used one of these.  How do you attach it to the body of the B-17F?  After trimming off the excess there isn't a flat edge with which to glue it on.  Any advice would be appreciated.
