Another "kids" model complete - Meng B-17G Flying Fortress

I got a few of these Meng kits at Hobby Lobby for a good price. I already completed the World War Toons Sherman Tank, so I moved my attention to the Flying Fortress. Like the tank, this is a simple kit, but so much fun. The decals are actually stickers, but the fuselage has recessed panel lines and the completed model is fun and looks great! I highly recommend these if you want a change of pace.

I need to take better pics. I think the actual model looks much better than it does in these pictures.

I've been wanting to get one of these. Looks great! Yes

I still have a Tiger I tank and the USS Lexington kits. The Lexington is pretty cool. It has a few incredibly tiny planes!

I do have the Lex, it's the only one I have at the moment. I also want the Tiger.

Oh, that's awesome!!!

Would look great with some of Hasegawa's egg plane fighters!!!

The carriers are friggin' cool, they've got tiny comic aircraft for their decks! And the Yamato is really cute.

I thought the same thing - it is very similar to the egg planes. The stickers might be the only drawback, but they are thin, adhere well, and for the most part, once they were covered with dullcote, look pretty good. In the end, this was just built for fun, and also to experiment a little bit with panel lines, since I'm mainly a car guy who only recently started venturing into military subjects. I have several Tamiya planes and I figured this would be a good practice run before I move on to things like that!

Here's another pic, as well as the Meng mini Sherman tank.
