Not Revell, that's for sure. I threw it at the wall.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Tamyia is real good, alittle sketchy at the engine to fuselage mount but not unworkable.

we're modelers it's what we do

The Hobbyboss kit ain't cheap but it but the fit is excellent. And you get enough munitions in the box to arm up about 3-5 more aircraft!

From reviews it seems the hobby boss A-10 is the best kit they have two different versions one is a FAC version.

I have only built the Monogram kit ( I think it was 1/48 ?)

But that was wayyy back in 1982. I built it as part of my grade in Aviation class ( I got a B so it must have been good ) I dont recall having any major issue's with it.

I gave my instructor the kit when I passed the class. Last time I saw it ( 2004 ) it was still on his desk.

I also had to fly a Helicopter simulator ..... but that's a totaly different story.....

( Can a Pilot fly a Helicopter 400 feet below sea level, and survive ...?)

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Go to www.scalemates.com. You're going to get a lot of different opinions on here.

sure, with a divers suit and an umbilical for fuel. Or in a simulator. LOL

I haven't seen the Hobbyboss kit...may have to keep my eyes out.

Cyber Modeler also has many kit reviews, may find good info there too.

My 2 cents..the Tamiya kit dates from the 80's and has all kinds of issues; it kicked my bu** trying to get it to fit and look good, but I've seen it built into a nice model. I have the HB kit in the stash and it looks very well done, and the build reviews I've read are all positive. I'm looking forward to putting it on the bench.

The Revell/Monogram kit was one of the first ones I built when I returned to the hobby. I almost quit again.
