Thanks both! The tulip petal decals required a bit of patience, setting solutions and touch-up. Decals were very thin.

Back in the '70s, I had just finished reading Erich Hartmann's bio The Blond Knight of Germany. I bought the Hasegawa kit at a local hobby shop and built his plane. I really like the "tulip petal" theme on the nose. The model I built was the summer scheme(?). Your build has inspired me to do it again. Your build is very nicely done. I really like the winter camouflage.
I'm calling this one done. A simple build, light weathering and only AM part is the True Details cockpit. It definitely added details allthough the shoulder seatbelt attachment points are incorrect.
Usual Gunze Mr. Color paints, oils for washes and fading. Thanks for following along.
Somehow, I got to this point really quick. Tamiya light grey primer, rescribed a few panel lines.
Due to the light paint scheme, I went with RLM75 for the preshading
Yellow painted and maked off. Some touch up priming to remove any yellow overpaint.
Diluted white upper areas, lightblue belly. I took a shortcut and didn't bother to paint the recular camo, followed by a whitewash.
Ready for decals and weathering next.
Cockpit is looking great. I like the weathering, especially the seat belts. Very convincing.

My first WIP thread here... Hasegawa 1/48 Bf109G-14 kit which will be painted an overall white color to resemble the plane flown by Erich Hartmann. I decided to use a True Details cockpit over the kit supplied one. It's a wee bit more detailed as you can see below.
I started out with a black primer followed by Mr. Color RLM 66. Next added some highlights by adding a bit of white to the RLM 66. Light drybrushing followed by some shading/lowlights.
Still working on the cockpit details and weathering. Stay tuned for more...
