Copy that; the Iranians had the same idea. They would load two Phoenix, and either two Sparrow and two Sidewinders or four Sidewinders. No effect on dogfighting capabilities with two Phoenix but four definitely had an effect.

That’s how I built my second Tamiya Cat was in Iranian colors. Came out pretty nice, I thought.

What?? You only loaded TWO Phoenix? C’mon, man you’re hunting Rooskies! Ya need all the help you can get!

Very nice build. I’ve done three and I’m working on a fourth; the D version at the moment.

Haha!

2,2&2 was the standard load on my first cruise in 1992/93. I just went with it.

cheers

Looks great!  I have this one on the bench.  Did you have issues with the intake / fuselage mating?  Struggling here.

Not sure why you’d be having trouble with the intakes, Keav. This kit practically falls together.

Hello John,

I did not have any fit issues with the intakes. The fit was really nice.

Cheers.

This is the Tamiya F-14A. I added Eduard wheels and Wolfpack seats. Decals are from the kit and Furball Aero Design. VF-14  Bicentennial scheme.

These kits are really nice!
