Thanks Joe, I will add the next one to the pile. I found out that I had a CMK resin set for the cockpit. Not sure if I'll use it. I've had hit and miss experiences with their products.

I think if there never was an aircraft with the camo pattern and colors you've painted, then there should have been.  

That comment brings to mind an image of German generals flipping through a catalogue, kind of like looking at wallpaper swatches, to choose camo patterns!

What Bish said. And, to me anyway, it doesn't matter. You're right it does look cool. I think if there never was an aircraft with the camo pattern and colors you've painted, then there should have been.

Would be great if you did a ‘how to’ post on airbrushing this type of camo pattern. Am sure many would be eager to learn the technique involved.

Just curious: quite a lot of weight must have gone into the nose to keep it down 

 

Thanks for your comments! I may just do a WIP on the next one. The kit came with a nose weight included that confirms around the cockpit floor. Tamiya engineering!

Wow, Ole, just Wow. Looks fantastic to me. You realy should do a tutorial on how you did that camo. I have a HE177 I'd like to do the same thing with. Any pointers would be helpful.

Amazing I love German night fighters and the camo looks spot on to me. I have one of those in the stash I'm also planning to get the ZM kit. So what problems did you run into building?

Some minor stuff. The alignment of the upper and lower halves of the engines was not the best. Nothing major, just somewhat unusual for a Tamiya kit.

That looks superb and no, theres nowt wrong with that scheme, there was a lot of variety is this. Great buld.

That's a lovely camo job you have there!  I have seen photos of Luftwaffe night fighters with similar patterns, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I really like how that turned out.  Nice job.  All those antennas!  I would surely break those off a couple times .

Authentic or not, that camouflage looks great!
