Airfix 1/24 Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib Kit #A19002- "Teardrop Canopy"
Posted by UKguyInUSA on Saturday, February 9, 2019 1:27 PM

Hello Chaps,

Here's my "Final Reveal" photos of the Airfix 1/24 Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib that my wife bought me for Christmas 2014...I finally made a start on it at the end of of 2017 and completed it in January 2018, a year ago, but never got around to posting it.

A superb kit with tons of details and a very enjoyable build.

All out of the box, except for the scratch-built whip antenna, Eduard fabric seatbelts and scratch-built fuse cables coming out the back of the rockets.

Cheers,

Martin Smile

That is one super nice build. I would love to try one of these large scale kits one of these days. You made a fantastic looking kit. Well done.

Martin, what you've done here is way above my pay-grade! I can't imagine trying to accomplish a build like this. Just breathtaking. Thank you for sharing.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

Well done . I like the the oil streaking underneath.
