Accurate Miniature IL-2 1/48 Finished
Posted by waikong on Friday, February 15, 2019 10:26 PM

Haven't posted a build on here for a while, so here goes.  Accurate Miniature single seat IL-2 in winter white wash finish, OOB except for the belts.  Always wanted to a white wash airplane with the stuff wearing away.

More pictures of kit and bulid on my website http://waihobbies.wkhc.net/index.php/35-models/sky/world-war-2/124-ilyushin-il-2-stormovik-single-seat-accurate-miniatures

Comments, criticism, welcomed on either venue.

Nice build! I like the faded look, kind of like winter fading into spring? Or maybe this thing just got beat to hell on the Soviet front...

While this aircraft did get the Tamiya treatment, I feel like it has been largely relegated to the back many people’s minds. Glad to see you did it justice.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Rad, totally agree, but the accurate miniature kits are still very nice and can be had for 1/2 the cost of the Tamiya.

Toshi, always nice to hear from you. Hope you and your wife are well.
