Fokker E.III, 246/16, flown by Oberleutnant Max Immelmann, Kek Douai, France, June 1916.Here is something I said I would never do, a 1/72 WWI aircraft with rigging, but hey, sometimes you need to challenge yourself.Painted with Gunze, Tamiya acrylics, Vallejo metal colour and oil paints. Vallejo matte varnish for final coat. The decals for the crosses have the big white square background, but I masked and painted the white squares and cut out the crosses from the decal sheet. The rigging is Uschi 1/72 scale rigging. The base I made fro ma piece of pine, routed a fancy edge, stained and varnished, than added a piece of grass mat, added some Nature-In-A-Pot "scat 01" some Gamers Grass flowers and Woodland Scenics field grass.Really enjoyed this little build.
Hi,
That turned out great
Clint
Top notch build quality right there!

God, Family, Models...
At the plate: 1/48 Airfix Bf109 & 1/35 Tamiya Famo
On deck: Who knows!
RamboBeautiful build, how did you paint the prop?
Thanks guys
Completely first rate job you made of this one, Grant, a fine one for your collection. I think you're a brave soul, rigging such a tiny WWI airplane model, I feel my eyes straining just to see the photos.
Thanks for the post, very enjoyable to see this one.
Patrick
Good looking Fokker Grant.
