Thank you all for the kind words! I am nowhere near as prolific as many of you on here, with assisting the running of an 80 kid strong cub scout pack! Although, I am in the process of starting up a model building club within our pack. We did a group build back in January and had an amazing turnout, and got a few kids and parents into building too! We will be planning the events for next year over the summer, and we hope to do several group builds....
I submitted this image to the magazine....I hope, for the kids, we get published! They would be so excited!

Looks great! Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic job. Looks like you did a great job painting the figure as well. Nice to hear I’m not the only one that adds fingerprint designs to their builds
falconmod Looks great! love the weathering. You need to build more! John

I am in the process...I have two I am actively working on finishing before I start my next project...
I started an Eduard Hellcat a few years ago, but life got in the way and it kept getting shifted around. It is currently on my bench, awaiting the finishing work ....it is mostly assembled, and the airframe is painted in the three tone blue. I need to decal, weather and panel line wash the airframe, and build the drop tank, main gear and prop, and I will be finished everything except adding the canopy (which I am waiting on a replacement from Eduard...)
My next "unstarted" project is the Italeri Osprey that I am finishing in a "what if"
D-Day/c47 skytrain finish....
hogfanfs It looks very well done. I love the chipping. Did you use paint, or did you use a chipping solution? EDIT: With imgur, if you copy the BBCode, you can paste and see the picture in your post.

The chipping is actually old school. I used a torn off piece of sponge dipped in vallejo aluminum and randomly "drybrushed" on, as well as a small section of fingerprint above the fuselage hinomaru...
As for the BB code....I was looking for that, but the imgur app wouldn't give me one....
What a fantastic job!

This was the new tooling release from ten/eleven years ago...I usually don't spent the kind of money on kits that Tamiya charges (especially new releases), but this one was a gift from the spousal unit on my very first father's day, ten years ago, just a month before my son was born. I didn't start on it for a few years, but I finally finished it a few weekends ago....
Special thanks to 'Doogsmodels' on youtube, also a veteran of the forums here...for the black-basing experiments he worked through and posted on youtube!
