Mopar Madness

They all look great but I really like that 190!

Thank you.  That was the first time that I got a prop spinner decal to go on well

Beautiful work!  The Spit. And it's pilot as well as the Japanese pilot are outstanding!   (My favs...)

Thanks Justin,  The Japanese pilot is my fav. as well.  I used Tamiya gray panel line wash on the clothes of the figures and I liked how that turned out on the Japanese pilot.  Not so much on the other ones.  I've always had issues with my camo going on too heavy and I think it was because I used black for pre-shading and I think that caused me to put it on too thick.  I switched to a dark gray instead and that allowed me to tone down the pre-shading with far less paint

You should check out the ''blackbasing'' series that 'Doogsmodels' put out on youtube.   It's actually an amazing way to add some variation to the airframe, without giving  too much panel line preshading definition.   Imy not sure if he is still on here, but Doogsmodels used to be on this forum as well!

Great work. Tamiya kits are just plain fun and relaxing to put together.

Thanks Tickmagnet, yes they are....other than the decals...at least for me.  I've built a collection of 1/48 world war 2 planes and the tamiya's are replacing other manufacturers kits in my collection.  I have 8 more to go.

Gamera

Oh wow, that's some beautiful work! Despite your problems with your last few builds you do some dang fine work.

And it's good to have you back.

Thanks Gamera! These are my "fun" builds.  All Tamiya except I think they rebranded the HS-123.  That was my least favorite and I'm not too proud of that one.  It's mainly a comparision piece.  Also taught me it takes someone special to build biplanes and I'm not one. Working on a ME-262 so far it's a dream.

Thanks Joe that means a lot  I’m sure he’s a Steelers fan now that their rid of their diva

Good riddance...him and Bell. Fun fact, in 1943, due to the large amount of men serving in the armed forces,  the Steelers and Eagles has to combine into one team.  They were called the Steegles.

Your work is high quality, all of them. You should be proud of those. Thanks for taking the time to share them with us. I particularly dig the Steelers 190. The pilot must have been a fan.
