F6F-3, BuNo. 25813, Lt. C. 'Ken' Hildebrandt, VF-33, Ondonga, December, 1943

I really love Eduard's Hellcats, really quick builds, nice detail and they go together great.

Camo is Mission Models Gloss Sea Blue and Intermediate Blue, white is a mix of Tamiya XF-2 and Gunze Off White.
Interior is Mission Models US Interior Green

I used Agama Hypersol on the decals, and man that stuff sure melts them down in to the panel lines.

I tried something new with weathering, some heavily thinned Tamiya flat earth sprayed over panel lines, than the usual , Flory Dark Dirt wash, also used some oil paints and some MIG Airfield Dust pigment on the underside

Beautiful! Nice work!

I've got this one in the "in process" Section of my stash....started her a few years ago, got the main airframe built, painted and clearcoated for decals, and had to put her away (my work space is also a dining room table...).  I have quite a few really cool ideas for kits in my stash, but I'm trying to finish up all of my in process kits...I pulled this one out and washed the dust off, and I realize I have to strip the paint because I applied it way too thick....

It's good to see the beauty this thing will hopefully turn into, one day....

"...failure to do anything because someone else can do better makes us rather dull and lazy..."

Mortal as I am,I know that I am born for a day.  But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the Earth...

Great looking Pacific Hellcat. I love the colors. I've heard that the paint held up pretty well on these compared to other AC. This one is stunning. Well done.
