Took a little over a year and finally finished up these 2 old Monogram kits. These have been covered a lot so I'll keep it short. First I gotta give a Huge shout out to Chuk W as I used his excellent build for reference and inspiration. I wanted one 'in flight' and one on the ground ,the gear down version got a lot of upgrades
The leading edge slats got cut out and resin upgrades added
The engine mounts needed to be scratch built, a bit tedious but worth the effort
The radiator cooling flaps on the full scale are automatically opened and closed by a thermostatictly controlled servo so the gear down ones needed surgery to open them up more than the in flight version
In flight after the Pilot and Gunner got some arm surgery
Splinter cammo and preshading, pretty standard
Bottom shot shows the Rocket (Mortar) tubes on the gear up
And finished shots of the Me410's of JG26, The Chevron in flight is the mount of Major Eduard Tratt, ace with 38 Victories. The 410 was a bit short of what was hoped for and had a very troubled development series starting with the ill handling 210 . I hope you all enjoy the pics
