1/48 Tamiya Fw-190 D9

This kit is the third of 4 kits I am completing, there are already more on the bench. This is an older Tamiya kit and it was great to build. No issues at all. My decals were shot so I grabbed a set off Evilbay that I liked and painted it up. Turns out its one of Germanys most famous pilots. He apparently took over this bird and had the old marking painted over with the belly color and his own markings added. The rudder is also replaced from another bird, hence the odd color. I really like 190's and I can see tons of them in my collection as time goes on. It was Hans Ulrich-Rudel's mount. I built it OOB and with the spares the kit had for another version I was able to use those on my A8 that I just finished. I didn't weather it up as I just didn't want to. Hope you enjoy it.

What...no weathering? It's refreshing to see a nice clean Fw-190; shows off your painting skills!

Like so many others here, nothing quite like a nice 190 to get my attention.

Nicely done, Brandon. Yes
