AMAZING work!  I just might have to move my Monogram Promodeler Jug next, right after I finish my Osprey!

Thanks Justin.

Mate....with my OCD problem trying to replicate "perfection" ( I do ok) I'd be VERY happy if my Jug's "bits" looked as good as yours do.
Very....nicely....done.
Can't wait to see more!!

Thanks Lee

Great looking pair of jugs there brother.  In truth - you could win awards with just your props!  Fantastic work - do you have an opening for an apprentice?

Thanks Keav. The Tamiya Jug props are so well rendered they are hard to mess up. I painted the hub Alclad polished aluminum to draw the eye in. A little trick...

What a great pair!  I really like how the camo came out in the end on both. Excellent across the board. Congrats.

Thanks Hoss.

As usual, you've knocked it out of the park. I like the idea of building two at a time, sort of like an assembly line! Maybe that's how I increase my build volume...

Thanks for sharing these two birds. You've done a fantastic job. Can't wait to see what you do with the Hurricane next!

Thanks Max.  I normally don't build multiples, but these were so similar scheme-wise it made sense to build them together.

Works of art.

I rank the Tamiya P-47 series as among the best 48 scale kits ever produced.

Thanks bud..........and I AGREE!

I'm done with these turkeys.  This is the first time I've done double Tamiya Jugs.  Probably not my last.  I love this kit, although I do prefer the razorback version.  I'm always willing to try different things.  I set aside my Flory Wash and tried the AK Interactive Paneliners.  It's essentially a set of pin washes that are supposed to be designed for use on different camo types. I suppose it's to tone down the contrast of panel line washes, so it's more subtle.  For the uppers I used the Green/Brown and the lowers the one for Grey/Blue. I was happy with the results.

I'll start with Schilling's Hairless Joe which got the full ordinance load. Other than PE seatbelts, it was done pretty much out of the box.

Next is Gabreski's famous machine.  This one is depicted as it looked on D-Day or shortly thereafter.  It got the same AK panel wash.  I had a set of Eduard Brassin wheels in the stash so I used them on this one. They are an upgrade, but I think Ultracast has the best wheels for this kit.

Both together....
