I finally finished my first 1/48 Junkers Ju 88A-4, took me 82 days from start to final touch up. This ICM model of the Junkers Ju 88A-4 is pretty good. Fit is good, little filler is needed, the plastic they used does seem to be soft, like after sanding the main fuselage with 2000 grid I notice my thumb print in the plastic. All the clear parts were masked by hand using Tamyia tape. My only problem was with the engine covers, they did not want to fit to the wing, with the engine assembly inside. Here's some work in progress pictures first. I also had to request a spare canopy from ICM, they sent my the hole clear part spure. Top service.

I did run into a small problem with Vallejo RLM 04(the yellow strip on the fuselage), I had put down a thin coat of Tamiya X-2 White as a base. Either the RLM 04 was to thin or the X-2 was not fully cured and the RLM 04 seem to slowly melt away into the X-2. So I then just stripped the RLM 04 area down to the bare plastic, and started over. Letting the base X-2 dry over night. After that had not no problems.
The decals went down fine, I used Tamiya decal set and there strong set. I replaced the kit plastic antennas with metal ones.

Now the finish. I used Tamiya panel wash, then airbrushed XF-1 flat black for exhust streaks, then XF-57 Buff for a dust costing on the undersides. The antenna line is black sewing thread.
