Nice Jack, John. I think that interceptor is probably one of my favorite Japanese fighters.

They both look great to me. The Raiden has a colorful scheme -- well done. I'm not too familiar with the Japanese WWII planes, except of course the Zero. Yours is looking good.

Nice looking duo John. I have yet to not break off the antenna on almost every Zero kit I've built........except the version that didn't have one

Both well rendered. You nailed the zero color too.  It's a bummer about that canopy. I remember that from when I built it a few years ago. Otherwise a great kit.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

The instrument panel is right out of the box with the kit decal.  I painted it Mitsubishi interior color with Gunze enamel, put a clear coat on with Alclad Gloss, put the decal on with Microset under it, then a couple of heavy coats of Mr Mark Softer.  When that was all cured I put a flat coat on, Alclad Flat this time, and then a bit later a drop of Future on each instrument face.  I put the fact that all the gauges ended up in good register to good clean living and a lot of luck.

Finished this one this week, for the Japanese GB IX.  Nice easy build, but of course I broke off the antenna during decalingAngry.  It's the J2M6 version, some say only one was built so I don't really know about the markings Hasegawa provided.  There is no option for a closed canopy on the Hasegawa or Tamiya kits, I wish there was.

The last pictures are posed with a Hasegawa A6M2b in Pearl Harbor markings.
