B-17 Wooden Wondering?

Wood is correct for the most part. A lot of them had the flat anti skid tape, like on a skate board. Chromate is never correct for floors, not even for bulkheads and interior of the skin. Use sentimental journey as a reference for a modern restoration. Otherwise google image for a wartime B-17. Interior green/chromate yellow or green nose to tail is not correct for war time B-17's.  

Wood was often used for the floors of military aircraft back then.  One reason woiuld be that it helped stretch the use of aluminum which was a high priority war material.

So it sounds like my approach will be to paint the flooring in wood, then cover in a flat black (I like Tamiya's Nato Black for interiors) and then wear off in high traffic areas.
