Color of wash for white plane

I am doing a ICM Mig-3 and  am at the "wash" stage. Having never done a white plane, what color would you recommend? I've read a medium gray  or brown. Thoughts? Anybody? Buehler...?

Depends what look you're going for.  If dirty?  I'd go brown. If clean, possibly a grey.

"Can you fly this plane and land it?...Surely you can't be serious....I am serious, and don't call me Shirley"

You got it.  I'd use either a medium gray or brown.  Most likely use the medium brown.

Go easy.  As they always say with weathering, less is more.
