Hasegawa 1/48 F-15C in Florida ANG markings. I have collected several Florida jet decals through the years let this be the 2nd.
Nick.
I look forward to seeing the finished airplane. I occasionally look for possible FL ANG aircraft. Right now, on the shelf I have a T-33 and an F-102. At some point I'll do a FL ANG Mustang.
OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

Thanks guy's Ive built the monogram kit, and a hasegawa kit that came with lots of PE and white metal landing gear but it went FUBR along time ago along with spares. wished to have those landing gear now...
Here is my Fla.ANG P-51 form 1949.
The F-16 based here in homestead Fl.
Just what other aircraft have the FANG flown over the decades?
P-51D&H,P-80,T-33,F-102,F-106,F-16,F-15 and wishful thinking F-22's. In my time Ive seen F-102,106,16 and 15's. I been in Fl. since 1975.
the latest pics..
OK.. I have wired auto engines, I use BMF on cars, worked with the metal tank tracks, but nothing compares with PE.. The F-15 engine nozzel PE.. like all others its 1st thing in the A.M and I can only manage 25 mins before the shakes and dropping stuff.
my pics.. my hats off to you PE guy's.
Tojo. Thank you the nozzels are finished yea... My latest pics of the cockpit. I did swapped out the seat with a resin form quickboost.
Looking good, Nick.
First time I've seen a Hasegawa F15. Looking forward to following along.
Greg. many thanks yes its been a long while and its all comming back to me now. I primed with a multitude of preshading with some gray basing weather getting bad again. I'll wait a bit for base coat.
Looking good. I did the Hasegawa F15c Gulf Spirit 33TFW out if Elgin.
Thanks,
John
John many thanks . I built the same kit with tons of metal parts but it went FUBR many years ago so did the metal parts that I saved from the kit.
My latest pics with mod eagle camo. The interesting part is the burnt metal? fitted nozzels for now. thanks for your comments.
love the Eagle. I'm following this thread. I was there at MAC (employee) for the rollout, and was impressed by how big it is. Is the Hasagawa a good kit- do you recommend it?
Don Stauffer in Minnesota
That must of been a sight to see . I like the Hasegawa kit , I bought the Tamiya kit still in the box but I do Recommend the Hasegawa kit and it's a large plane it's taking up most of my 2 foot square work space lol (GM)
What paints are you using for the Mod Eagle scheme? I'm running out of Model Master 36251 and using AK for the Dark Grey.

I'm using vallejo model air, 71.274 = Fs 36251. I like to thin it a bit more with a couple of drops of tamiya thinner. I gave this beast Tamiya gloss clear and time for decals.
Looking good! Have fun with the stencils lol.
John. oh I did the low vis stencils will make you cross eyed.... but they are on, waiting for another gloss clear coat and weathering.
Looking great, Nick.
I forgot to mention how much I like your exhuast nozzles. Those finicky PE pcs really sets them off.
I'm glad you showed your base work for painting. I've been afraid of modern fighters for fear of not really understanding how to break up the paint. Your post helps.
I love F-15's.
Greg. many thanks my camo plan didn't work out so good I had to free hand.
Started the burned metal and nozzels. I began the pin wash back and forth between wash and burnt metal.
Tojo. Thank you .The F-15A special Hasegawa kit form the 80's came with PE turkey feathers. my latest pics and another clear coat.
Its looking like an F-15 and taking up alot of space.. Finished up with the pin wash some weathering and sealed up with tamiya clear flat.
fitting canopy and widshield.
my latest pics. I have drop tanks w/sidewinders and the HUD glass looks kinda thick must be bullet proof glass... my other Hasa F-15 had PE HUD.
