Also, holy smokes, I seemed to have straight up forgotten about this forum! My apologies. I have long since finished my Bf-110. It turned out fantastic! I added a PE gunsight from my spare parts stash to the rear MG. The wasp decals were a bit tricky, and I had to position them a bit aft of the gun muzzles in the nose (which is not the historically-accurate placement of the decals), but I was still super pleased with the outcome. I took two straight pieces of poster putty - straight from the box- carved sandbang seams into them and turned them into an AA gun position. The AA gun and crew were from a Zvezda kit that I built darn near ten years ago, but put back into my toolbox to await the perfect diorama. The same goes for the kettenkrad, which came from an Academy Bf-109 kit. I lightly misted both the AA gun and the ground vehicle with white paint to give them some form of winter camoflauge. The snow is woodland scenics, as is the evergreen tree. I cut out pieces of construction paper and tailored some winter coats for the gun crew. The Bf-110 is definitely right at home in this scene, at an airfield somewhere on the Russian front. Thanks to all of you for your kind words- as always!

First off, my apologies for getting back to you MONTHS after you first commented. I did indeed get the Eduard mask set and saved myself the agony of trying to mask that canopy using just yellow tape! Those guns were a bear to install as well. But, the good news is my 110 is (structurally) finished, and I'll be painting it tomorrow! I would have started tonight...but right after I got finished masking off the bird for it's first coat of RLM 65...the day caught up with me. And heck, I even got outta work early tonight! Guess I need more sleep. Here is a progress picture of the 110!

I recently finished mine for the Shelf of Doom group build.  It's a fairly easy build, but here are a couple of tips for you.  One, get the Eduard canopy mask if you haven't got it already.  It will make your life so much easier.  Two, don't think you can assemble the exhausts after everything is painted.  There is a sizeable gap between the exhausts and the nacelles which will have to filled with strip styrene.  Plus you run the risk of losing a set inside the nacelle, not that I'd know anything about that .  Be careful installing the nose guns.  They're a very tight fit and you may bend or break them.  Finally, the decals are pretty much crap. They are thick and mine silvered even though I shot a smooth gloss coat for them to lie on, and Micro solled and set the heck out of them.  They did look better once I applied a coat of flat over them though.  It's also missing the towel rack antenna underneath, but in the end it looks like a Me-110.  I look forward to seeing your build.

It got up to 102 here in Dallas last weekend. Plenty HVAC trucks running about these days!  I'm a sucker for a nice 110.
