Beautiful Dora.  The rubber mat is a cool touch.  I also love your display bases.

Thanks Chem.

Chad, i have not built an AZ kit yet. I do have one of their 109F's and they have produced some nice looking subjects ove rthe years. I'll have to dig the one i have out of the stash and see what it looks like, but not sure when i will build it.

Outstanding job. Looks like a great kit. I like the D model best of the 190’s. Your base and figures add a lot as well.

Thanks guys.

Yes, the red/white undrside was applied to the Fw 190's of JV 44 who's job was to protect the jets while they were taking off and landing.

I like the D model, i actually prefer the look over the short nosed early versions.

If I missed it I apologize, but the underside red paint was a recognition scheme for airfield defenders.

Reminds me of a story.

My F in L and the mechs on his squadron put a bf 109 together in Tunisia from wrecks.

Said dad took it up for a rolling test flight.

AA crews said "try that again".

Nice, Martin.  I may be the only one in the world that thinks the bright red on the bottom seems strange, but it does to me.

Seriously nice camo on this Wurger.  I wasn't always a fan of the D series but I've really grown to like them after I studied up on them.  Nice overall presentation!

Time to wrap this one up. It was weathered with a flory wash and some exhaist stains. For the guns i used resin MG 151 barrels for the inner weapons and some bras tube for the outer 30mm MK 108's.

The rubber mat used to protect the surface of the wing is a PE part from Airmodel.

I finished it off by attaching it to the base and adding a couple of altered Airfix figures and the oil drum is also from Airmodel.

I really liked this kit. I will lok forward to building the other one and hopefully picking up their D-13 at some point.

Thanks for looking.

I've seen similiar products here, laser cut. But not from them, and at least twice as expensive. I'll have to check with Bobby, see what he has to say.

BTW, a little off topic but that reminds me a recieved an aircraft model kit last Christmas that is completely laser-cut wood.

I had not seen that, had not checke dthe site in a while. Thats deffinetly sometging i could use.

I think Bobby has ordered from them, and i have given the link to a few others. really surprised there doesn't seem to be anything like that over there. This lazer cut MDF is quite popular here.

Thanks for the info, Bish.

Did you see the wing jig they list as coming soon? Looks pretty cool, and I like their vertical paint racks.

Might have to try an order, see how expensive shipping is.

Thanks Chad. Yes, i think so. This and the other 2 D's were released in 2011/12. they have not been re-released and don't seem to be avaliable from what i can see.

Most of their recent kits have been post war jets. their website is their FB page, and that has not been updated for a year.

Interesting. I've never even heard of this company but their product looks good. Or at least you've made it look good.  No locating pins, do you suspect these are limited run kits?

Thanks guys. Its a Czech company. Most of there kits seem to be post war Warsaw pact subjetcs. They do produce a selection of Fw 190's, including the D-11, 12 and 13. Each the same kit just varying the parts you use.

Greg, its a UK based company.

I have a few of their other products including bottle stands and paint rack. One of 2 UK company's i have bought similar things from.

Me either (kit brand).

Looking good, Bish. You're not messing about as usual.

I sure like the aircraft stand, clever. Do you recall where you got it?

This is my first time building a kit by this company. I started it at the same time as my Bf 109 but doe to a more varied paint scheme, it has fallen sligtly behind. The kit includes resin and a small PE set. There are 2 complete kits in the box, the second of which i will build as a D-12 when the time comes.

For this kit, i will be building the subject on the box art, an aircraft of the protection flight of JV 44.

The PE for the pit is limited, certainly not as much detail as in some other kits, but its sufficent for such a small cockpit.

And the fuselage went together and the wings on. Afraid i forgot to get pics of the underside. It does have a nice resin wheel well. This made the fit of the wing tops and bottoms tricky, needed some sanding, but it got there. There are no location tabs, so i had to be careful lining everything up.

Then with the final parts added, time for some primer and painting. It was primed and the RLM 76 blue added at the same time as the 109. But of course i had some more colours to add.

The top was done with RLM 82/83.

On the underside, i did over all white, then used a set of P masks before adding the red. The mask strips came in 4 sizes, but you have to work out for yourself which one to use. After looking at a couple of pics, i went for the smallest ones, 1mm.

There are 8 sets of markings for this, but 2 of those are for the same aircraft. Before it was Red 4, this aircraft was marked as White 58. This was over sprayed with RLM 76 but still slightly visible under the new markings. So i added those decals, over sprayed with blue then did the mottling. The marking is only just visible on the left side. You can just make out the chevron beind the wing.

Its less visible on the right and does not show at all on the photo.

Then the rest of the decals are added. The decals are numbered on the instructions but not on the decal sheet. So a few of them you have to guess which ones to use.

I have just given it a coat of clear gloss, so should be able to get a flory wash on tonight.
