Looking good TJ!

Lookin' good!

George Lewis:
Figured I would post this here just to show the green
Look forward to seeing you build this TJ. Anything from Norfolk gets my attention.
I was doing some reading on this a few years ago and from what i gather they just used what ever paint they had to had. Often it was British paint which would have been easier to get hold off.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
I think I've found a color for the nose. Tamiya XF-70 is a dark green. Seems to match the wiki pic for the 2 in the middle.
lawdog114 Tubosteve See photo on wikpedia, seems like almost any shade of green was used (well, at least 2 or 3 ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/359th_Fighter_Group#/media/File:359th_Fighter_Group_-_P-51D_Mustangs.jpg Nice! Looks like the one on the foreground was done in Olive Drab. It seems to confirm they used whatever they had on hand. Great reference pic. Useful for when I build Wetmore's machine.

tempestjohnny Thanks I think it's going to be one of those if it looks close colors

Considering it was probably mixed from (variable) existing paint stocks on an 'as needed' basis, it's pretty hard to go wrong as long as you avoid the bright 'apple green' shades. I've always suspected it might mainly be the Medium Green shade used for counter-shading on wing edges of mid-war US aircraft like the Havocs and late-model P-40s.
tempestjohnnyAnybody have an idea on the green for the nose. Trying to use Tamiya and I'll mix of needed
Your question has been asked before. Here's a pretty good assessment of the issue:
