That came out great!

I was tempted to pick up that kit at Hobby Lobby with the 40% off coupon but sadly they don't carry it here anymore.

Very nice build!!!!!

One tip if I may. Try a light on either side to remove quite a bit of the shadows. A lot more of the great detail you put on the plane will show up.

Turned out great! With a different background I would swear it was the real thing.

That looks awesome.  If it's as nice a kit as you say I may have to get one of these.

Academy F/A-18F Super Hornet 1/72 (Completed)

Completed this for the "Close Air Support" group build.  I like looking at everyone elses completed models so thought I would create a thread here.  Thanks for looking!

I have finished the Academy 1/72 F/A-18F Super Hornet.  Markings are VFA-103 Jolly Rogers provided in the kit.  I Beat it up with some oils and Tamiya black panel liner to make it look like a work horse. This was one of the easier kits that I have built so far and it has really nice recessed panels and details.  Decals conform really well.  In much of the final assembly i didn't even need glue.  The parts fit like a glove.  Thank you to Lewbud for hosting the group build.  On to the pics:
