Fun little guy for a change.

Oh man, now I want a model of Snoopy on his bullet ridden doghouse making frantic machine gun firing moves!

Wait - was he firing a gun from a scarff ring?  He was an observer?  Did history not get it right?  Oh this could be scandalous!  Stick out tongue

Here is the famous WWI Flying Ace!

I love it! Peanuts was a favourite of mine as a lad, and the famous flying ace was the best!

however, there is another canine aviator - Gromit from "Wallace and Gromit"!

He resides near my workbench - not a kit (so I'm cheating!) but fun anyway.  He was a gift from my office Secret Santa about 20 years or so ago, and is a stationery item:

The gun is a pencil sharpener, the wings are a ruler, the fuselage stores paper clips, or whatever, and the thing he sits on is an eraser!

So, who'd win the dogfight?Big Smile

Vell, Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?

You need a Red Baron to go with ol' Snoop

A bit of a confession. Even though this is a snap together kit, I did use glue in some areas. Particularly on Snoopy's head. The snap fit left open seams in the head and helmet. So, I glued them together and clamped them in order to close the seams. I also had to do some filing in order to get the tires on the wheels. Then I sparingly glued the tires on the wheels.

Great builds that bring back fond memories!  I had the "Red Baron" kit as a kid and just recently bought both kits along with Snoopy & Woodstock's ice hockey bird bath kit from my LHS.  I'm hoping that Atlantis continues to release these "golden oldies" especially the "Flap Jack" kit!

I agree about the Flap Jack. Prices for old kits, if you can find one, are higher than that thing could fly!

Love it.

A good friend of mine designed and flew the RC Snoopy flying doghouse.  I and fellow RC club members were very surprised at how well it flew.

Nice!  That's an old Monogram kit, I built that as a kid.  There was a cartoon balloon to stick in his mouth, too, with stickers that said things like "Curse you, Red Baron!"

Monogram had a series of "Snoopy" kits. Along with Snoopy's Sopwith Camel and the Red Baron's Fokker Triplane, there was Snoopys Bugatti, and a motorcycle with a sidecar.  Woodstock rode in the sidecar.  They were fun!

Baron,

I know that Atlantis has plans to release Snoopy surfing and in his Bugatti but do you know of any plans to release the motorcycle sidecar rig?
