The winter Wurger is now complete. Since the last update, decals were applied along with weathering and final attachment of all the various doodads.
I went over the edges of the decals and markings with white to reflect the temporary camo. The final finish was Model Master flat clear lacquer. I'm happy how the scheme turned out.
The AB 250 bomb was from the kit and I mixed my own version of "khaki green" and heavily weathered it. The DF loop antenna was from a detail kit for Eduards Fw 190D-11/13 kit.
I used black, brown and gray for the exhaust pattern along with some black and brown pastels. I also used brake lines from the D-11/13 detail kit.
Stretched sprue was used for the antenna because it lays naturally when slack with the open cockpit.
Chipping, scratches and general wear were applied with various colored pencils and the standard Tamiya black/brown mix.
I also used a Flory wash of various colors for the panel lines but avoided highlighting all the rivets to keep the weathering subtle over the white camo.
The wheels are resin upgrades from Eduard.
I used some restraint on covering the markings with white paint with the goal of keeping the model looking sharp while conveying the temporary paint. The photos show a much sloppier application of white around the markings and wanted the model to look less sloppy. It's the same story with invasion stripes.
Enjoy the rest of the photos and thanks for looking.
