Revell Northrop F-89C Scorpion

It is Revell from 2000 after the merger of 1986. There is a new reissue of 2023. This is based from the D/J of 1990.

Sure looks like a scorpion with that tail up in the air.  I had this one ages ago and sold it after test fitting.  Kudos for getting her done.

Well done Stephen.  I don't think the F-89 is bad looking but I'm totally biased because the box scale Revell kit was my first plastic model in 1955.  It could maybe do without the locomotive wheels, though

Careful, the Don may be listening...

Unless the fuel load was very low F-89's sat in a more level attitude.  The engines were known to hoover up stuff from the runway because of the low stance.

Ahoy Aggiman.  Early Jets are my favorite subjects and you did a super job on the Monogram Scorpion. Thanks for the photos.  I liked one photo so much I made it my Screensaver for the week.

Well, for not really liking the bird, looks like you made a silk purse out of a cows ear. Nice work!

Very fine job on yoiur Scorpion.  Revell did an oops as they forgot the little winglets on the end of the tip tanks.  Every A/B/C received this recall at the factory after quite a few crashes, especially one at an airshow. 

Correction: looking at the photos again, I do see the small winglets on the tip tanks.  I will have to look at that for my new repoped 2023 issue for my B model.

Beautiful job you have done here.  This is an old Monogram mold and you have really brought it to life.  The red color you used looks spot on.
