Could be true, I wouldn't totally discount it. But as usual, I'll believe it when I actually see it.

Hasn't been mentioned on the Tamiya website but that sometimes don't mean nuthin'.

I'd love to see a new Fort in 48th, and a Liberator, and a Marauder and... Tongue [:P]

Oh boy !!!

A new tool in 1/48 of a B-17 ... that would be great ... I think I could find room here for two or three of 'em. I always hoped that Accurate Miniatures would bless us with a new B-17 ... maybe there is hope yet.

Well folks, that would certainly be nice, but I was at the Tamiya HQ in Shizuoka last weekend, and I can tell you nobody there knew anything about it, including Mr. Tamiya.
So ya'll are just gonna have to be happy with the 1/32 Panda B-17G!

Well, I'm not surprised. Would've been nice, 'eh?

We can still dream... I dreamt last night of Accurate Miniatures B-26 Marauders... short wings... meatballs and four-position wing insignia... then nose art and shark mouths...and low level strikes on targets in Normandy...

Sure---hasn't everyone? The kit's been around forever. It's a fine kit and goes
together very well. It's full of interior detail and, there are aftermarket sets out there that will make it even better. To me, the kit's shortcomings are these:
All crew hatches are molded closed. The bomb bay is closed, and, there is no
wheel well detail. All these are easily remedied, though.
Build it!---You won't be disappointed.

I've got 7! 2 are completely finished, 1 is partial [first failed 1/48th attempt, later battle damaged, and yet to be completed!] and the rest are waiting until the right time and space is available. =0)
The crew doors can, with a little work, be opened and look quite nice. Just don't forget the interior details! The shortcomings that I found are the clear parts. I scrapped the nose cone, cockpit windscreen, top turret, radio hatch and tail gunner greenhouse for the True Details vacuform sets. MUCH BETTER! The other little windows require (CAREFULLY) removing the little placement tabs, and once in place a light coating of Future!

I've got a Monogram up in the loft waiting for the day. I went a little mad when I got it and bought the Paragon flaps, prop goveners and wing intakes, bomb bay, crew access hatches, Cheyene turret, True Details wheels, Eduard interia, exteria and weapons sets, Verlinden detail set, Flightpath detail set and 3 sets of decals (because I couldn't make up my mind which one I liked!!!!) Over £150 spent and its still in its box, I must be mad

Mark,

Join the crowd, my friend! That's why model shows are held on Saturdays and Sundays. They'll only let us out on the weekends! Tongue [:P]

Tamiya doesn't have ANY US bombers in its arsenal. They just don't make 'em. I really want that 1/32 scale monster though!
