i'm using testors metalizer spray paint and i want to know what's the best thing to do to buff the paint after it's been sprayed on.

Not sure if it's the best method, but I've buffed the aluminum metalizer with just a strip of an old t-shirt.

An old T-shirt, an old flannel shirt, pretty much any extremely soft cotton shirt is just fine for polishing Metalizer paints.
Remember, the paint is pretty fragile - you won't want to mask over it like you can with Alclad, but if you rub through the paint, you can always touch it up, and the repair will be invisible.
