Thanks, Bwong. I spray Future in several LIGHT coats, waiting about 10-15 minutes between coats. This is followed by a heavier, wet coat (but not enough to make it run). Knowing when to apply the heavier coat comes from practice. The model will have a certain semi-gloss "sheen" to it when it is ready. I never count the # of lighter coats, so it probably varies. My suggestion would be to practice applying the light coats on an unwanted or old model. Watching HOW it changes with the application of each successive coat is key to understanding how it works.
